Google is currently previewing one of their future offerings, Google Wave. This new technology is an attempt to reinvent email as we know it. A Wave would be analogous to an email, only it would look like the combination of a text, Facebook status with discussions, online instant chat, all with the added functionality of video, images and full web integration. The wave also integrates play back features for people coming into a wave after it is under way, so that they can view the progression of the wave.

The video below is the introductory piece from Google.

If you are excited about the possibilities for this new technology then visit Google’s Wave page and request an invitation to test out their new technology. It is still being developed so it is not perfect, but with feedback from the right people, who knows.
